WHY YOUR WEIGHT MATTERS:
Keeping a healthy weight throughout life requires awareness and attention to, what your body is telling you. Because, you see, your body speaks to you all the time, and since you should be your own best friend, listen carefully, to what is being communicated.
Be determined to be mindful and learn, carry your WEIGHT MANAGEMENT diary with you at all times and be completely honest with your self.
SALT, SUGAR, FAT:
Those three culprits play havoc with your body, and mind.
My first advise for you is to avoid processed food, even if it vegan, to seriously cut down on those.
Fresh produce, especially if you can get your hands on organic items/grow your own, will always be the best.
WHAT IS YOUR AREA OF WEIGHT CONCERN?
Start your diary with some transparent honesty: what worries you the most, what is your priority for change...
No one can change eating habits over night; there are no miracle cures, just awareness, determination, knowledge and the will power to put it into practise. will carry you through.
STRATEGY:
Once you have some clarity, which will evolve, as you become better at tuning into what your body needs, it is time to come up with a strategy.
What do you need to discard?
What do you need to add?
Set doable goals for each week, small enough to be able to accomplish, big enough to keep you motivated.
INTERMITTENT FASTING:
I learned about INTERMITTENT FASTING in India, as part of the Ancient Vedic cultures. Many religious communities practise fasting as part of their rituals, but this kind of fasting has more to do with longevity and health, so it is for every healthy adult.
When we give the body a longer period, where it does not have to deal with metabolism, we give it time to rest, and we give our "Telomeres" time to grow. These precious ends of our DNA chromosomes protect our cells against certain forms of ageing and decline, so everyone should give them a helping hand.
SUPPLEMENTS:
There are many valid and good supplements to help you along the way to a more balanced weight, not to super-slim your physical measurements, but to change the way your metabolism burns fat.
THE ROAD TO SUCCESS:
Many factors play a role in, how well we are able to make the necessary adjustments to give our body the best conditions to thrive and stay healthy.
Our weight will also be influenced by our mental health; body and mind go together; if one is suffering, the other will be kicked off balance, as well.
A human being is a holistic entity, and must be viewed as such in order for us to take all necessary aspects into consideration, when managing our weight.

HOW TO DEAL WITH FOOD CRAVINGS:
Every time a sudden desire for certain food/drink comes to your mind, stop and think. Pause, do not react to food cravings. Analyse! Be mindful!
Let us say, you feel a sudden craving for salmon; as an example. Investigate; what does salmon give the body? Is it a need for Omega 3? Find vegan alternatives, and try them for a few days. The craving will almost certainly disappear, or diminish.
IF THIS SEEMS A BIT OVERWHELMING...
For some it is possible to start this journey, quite smoothly, to better health through WEIGHT MANAGEMENT; for others, it might seem a bit too much. Where to start...
Trust your body. It will tell you, what it needs, as opposite to your tongue, which will tell you, what it wants.
"Want" is never a good strategy to go by.
"Need" is a valid request from your body to be supplied nutrients lacking.
Between those two, need and want, lies your journey to weight management...
