NATURAL RESOURCES

FACTORY FARMING IS A DIRTY BUSINESS:
The "Factory Farming" industry pollutes our air, water and earth in ways, which we might never be able to fully clean up.

This is partly due to the pesticides, fertilisers and hormones in the manure from mammal and bird husbandry, and partly due to the amount of those.

"Livestock farming...one of the most significant contributors to today's most serious environmental problems." (FAO)

WATER:
70% of all fresh water on the planet is being used for raising mammals and birds in the "Factory Farming" industry. When it is led away from the farm, it contains toxins, which alter and destroy our ecosystems.

EARTH:
Between 61% and 72% of our fertile soil is being used to grow mammal and bird feed, instead of growing food for direct human consumption.
Manure from "Factory Farming", deposited just laying around, account for more than 60% of the Ammonia waste, world wide.

AIR:
Carbon Dioxide and Methane are fuelling Climate Change, and pollute our air for all living beings to breathe.

NOISE:
Anyone, who has ever been near a factory farm, shall not forget the incredible noise from these cramped together, suffering living beings.

SMELL:
The waste from a factory farm exudes a horrible smell, making your eyes turn red and teary. Many places require wearing a mask to enter those facilities.

WHAT HAS TO BE DONE:
We must immediately ban all "Factory Farming".

Farmers, who sign up for a "Transition Strategy", will be helped.

We can offer to completely clean their farm for all forms of visible residue and manure, inside and out.

Probably, some soil and water has to be taken to assigned places for a chemical cleaning and neutralising.

There might, as well, be facilities and infrastructure, which are so damaged from the pollution, they call for a bulldozer...

But we have to start somewhere, and it is all worth it.

"We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors. We borrow it from our children"

We owe it to the future generations to do as much as we can to clean up this horrible mess.

I commend your good heart and intentions in joining an organisation, per your choice, where you can work towards a better and cleaner Planet Earth.
